The 3-Layer Straight Shot
The proprietary free‐standing 3‐layer Base‐Board design provides the rigidity, weight and rock‐solid stability necessary to safely anchor loads and forces that are exerted on the Mast, Drum‐Axle, Drum and Ball‐Tether during high‐speed club/ball impact.
The Base‐Board’s construction consists of an inner middle core made from high‐strength 18 mm (0.7 in) thick Russian Birch Plywood, a 20 mm (0.78 in) aluminum Mast‐Plate, and a 4 mm (0.15 in) steel Base‐Plate. These three load/stress bearing components are sandwiched on top of each other and riveted together. The Wave Ball‐Stop actuator is also housed and embedded in the inner plywood section.
Around the perimeter on the bottom‐side of the Base‐Board are height‐adjustable shock and vibration‐absorbing rubber foot pads. The height‐adjustable foot pads make it possible for the Base‐Board to be placed flat and level on any floor surface and prevent the Base‐Board from sliding or moving during club/ball impact.
