Drum-Axle

The Drum‐Axle is fabricated from a single 25.4 mm (1.0 in) OD solid steel rod. After forming, the Drum‐Axle is precision bent, heat treated, machined and chrome-plated.

A solid‐steel Drum‐Axle is necessary to withstand the lateral and torque forces that are exerted on the Drum and Drum‐Axle during high‐speed club/ball impact.

The OD of the Drum‐Axle is machined to strict tolerances to ensure that there is no excess play or gap between the Drum‐Axle and the Drum’s two bearings. This is necessary to insure smooth, quiet and friction‐free rotation of the Drum as it rotates around the Drum‐Axle.
